Episode 136: The Supertone Show with Suzy Starlite and Simon Campbell
Jeff and I both used to collect vinyl, colored disc's, and yes... bootlegs. When I moved to NYC in 1981, I probably moved 1000 LP's. Of course NYC was a money hole for my discretionary income, and certainly one great resource for the hard-to-find rarities, like the Hall & Oates jacket album. While I lived there, I first worked at Sam Goody's (Goody Got It!), right next door to Radio City Music Hall, then moved over to Broadway where I started at WEA Warner, Elektra, Atlantic. One of my jobs there was to visit some od the major retail outlets in the city to 'take inventory.' I'd often stop at the smaller outlets in the village and pick up some interesting finds, which eventually made their way into Jeff's library...and now, maybe found a home in your lives! Well worth the effort to share the goodies with appreciative souls!
