Episode 134: The Supertone Show with Suzy Starlite and Simon Campbell
Suzy and Simon present their music and chat show about songs and the people who make them.
Presented by award-winning artists Suzy Starlite & Simon Campbell, it features an eclectic mix of music from their vinyl collections and new music releases, plus special shows focussing on inspirational people who have influenced and changed the sound of modern music.
A 'must listen' for all music lovers and artists!
The last nine shows have featured one track per week from Starlite & Campbell’s epic third studio album STARLITE.ONE - plus music from the counties/cities where they will be playing concerts as part of their 2023 UK Headline Tour this September/October.
Today Suzy & Simon release a very special show - the finale in this series which debuts STARLITE.ONE played in its entirety.
STARLITE.ONE is a concept album: the songs connect to each other and are intended to be played in two distinct sections, as you would listen to a vinyl record.
“This magnum opus of an album closes with ‘A Part Of Me Is Broken (Part Two)’. These six fiery minutes make for the heaviest track here musically as guitars jab and also deliver body blow riffs around more pulsing electronica for an all consuming end to a mindblowing album of aural delights, point proven by the second half of the song as Suzy delivers a silky smooth spoken word mantra over a speaker rattling throb!” - Dennis Jarman — Planet Mosh ★★★★★
In this episode, Suzy and Simon play STARLITE.ONE as they intended you to hear it: starting the show with Programme A (side A) - then having a chat in the middle about how the album came about, musical influences and more, concluding the show with Programme B (side B).
STARLITE.ONE is set for release on Friday 1st September and is available to pre-order now. It will not be available Spotify or any audio-only streaming sites.
